Surbana Jurong opens new global headquarters in Jurong Innovation District
Surbana Jurong revealed its new international headquarters, the Surbana Jurong Campus, in CleanTech Park within the Jurong Innovation District. The establishment was formally launched on March 13, with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong in appearance.
The campus was designed by Surbana Jurong’s architects in partnership with Safdie Architects to mirror the idea of a “campus in nature.” Formerly an undeveloped greenfield site, the campus has actually been developed to preserve more than half of its standing green space. Built-up eco-friendly places were replaced with rooftop landscapes, lush indoor gardens, and substantial exterior gardens.
The development has been granted the Building and Construction Authority’s (BCA) Green Mark Platinum Super Low Power and BCA-Health Promo Board Green Mark Platinum for Healthier Workplaces for its initiatives in sustainability and marketing healthier way of livings. This involves supplying end-of-trip establishments, like onsite bicycle racks and showers.
The campus extends 1.2 million sq ft in built-up place and can suit 4,000 staff members and the broader community all over 10 towers. The campus is assumed to house employees from a wide range of entities in Singapore under one roof.
The 10 towers are adjoined by a pedestrian pathway and enclosed courtyards, making it possible for natural sunlight and fresh air to move through. The development includes facilities like a 1,000-seater multi-purpose area, a junior ballroom, roof balconies, a team reception, table tennis, and a forthcoming health club facility.
Sean Chiao, Group Chief Executive Officer of Surbana Jurong, states that the campus acts as a living lab for innovating solutions and pushing the limits of sustainable property development. “In Surbana Jurong Campus, our assorted expertises team up to resolve our consumers’ most intricate problems, meeting our purpose, Genuine influence, made together.”
